I, for myself, and on behalf of my child(ren), heirs, next of kin, personal representatives and assigns hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to make any claim against the City of McAllen, its officers, elected officials, directors, agents, employees, representatives, contractors, its successors and assigns (individually and collectively “the City”) from all liability, damages, claims, demands, personal injury, causes of action, court costs, attorneys’ fees and other expenses arising from any lawsuit that may otherwise accrue from any loss, demand, claim, damages, personal injury, including death, to my person or property in any way resulting from, or arising in connection with, or related to, my volunteer participation in the McAllen Holiday Parade, from any cause whatsoever including, without limitation, the negligence of the City. I, for myself, and on behalf of my child(ren), heirs, next of kin, personal representatives and assigns hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of McAllen, its’ elected officials, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from loss, liability, damages, personal injury, claims, demands, costs, including attorneys’ fees and costs of litigation, it may incur due in performance or arising from my volunteer participation in the McAllen Holiday Parade, from any cause whatsoever including, without limitation, the negligence of the City. I acknowledge and agree that I have read and understand all the statements made above and freely and voluntarily consent to this Release, Waiver of Liability and Indemnification (Signature of parent/guardian or authorized representative required if under age 18)
